The Malo's story starts almost 30 years ago in 1972 in Florence. Due to its high quality products the label becomes quickly leading manufacturer of cashmere knitwear. Its Italian origin is a hallmark for the premium value. The devotion to tradition and quality guarantees unique and uniquely precious garments from cashmere and other noble materials. At the beginning of the 1980s Malo has already leadership in Italy , consolidating its position in the high-end of the market and challenging the primacy of traditional British producers. In order to ensure the quality of its apparel Malo develops new expansion strategies: direct control of the various stages is achieved whereby raw materials become finished products. Malo cashmere is produced with natural fibres from Mongolia and duvet which is the tiny portion that combines lightness, elasticity and resilience. Between 1990 and 1995 Malo opened commercial branches to manage distribution in its strategic markets: North America, Europe and the Far East. In 1993 it started opening single-brand boutiques in prestige locations in tune with the brand`s image. In addition, Malo has a significant international top-notch celebrity following, including Angelina Jolie, Richard Gere, George Clooney, Dustin Hoffman, Liv Tyler, Catherine Deneuve, Isabelle Huppert, Nathalie Imbruglia, Margherita Buy, Isabella Ferrari, Giovanna Mezzogiorno, Andrea Osvart and Fabio Fazio.
