Regenerated cashmere has also won the attention of high fashion brands:
Gucci, Filippa K, Eileen Fisher and Stella McCartney ...........

Ever heard of cashmere re-engineering? It is a process capable of transforming the waste of noble fibers into material to be molded again, and therefore lessening the impact on the environment that the collection and production of cashmere can have. A group of Tuscan companies in pole position for the Italian textile sector thought to transform one of the noblest fibers into an eco-friendly version. Nuova Fratelli Boretti, Filpucci, Green Line A, Stelloni Collection by Mapel and Filatura C4 have created an exclusive platform that marks new avenues for Italian cashmere, creating a line of environment-proof yarns, certified with the best global ecological standards to guarantee the quality of materials and their integrity, during the recycling chain.

Regenerated cashmere has also won the attention of high fashion brands: Gucci, Filippa K, Eileen Fisher and Stella McCartney are just some of the names that have started to replace virgin cashmere with re-engineered one. The task of the platform is to manage operations that re-circulate the scraps of fine yarns, handmade and preconsumer research.

"It is an absolutely new way of making textiles that combines the criteria of the circular economy with ancient Tuscan traditions. Responsible innovation which as a result totally ecological and made in Italy products of excellence ", explained Daniela Boretti, one of the founders of the project, who therefore tries to reconcile the artisan tradition with the needs and attention that the environment requires.

It cannot be excluded that there will still be many brands that will decide to choose "green" cashmere for their shelves.
