THE REAL ADVANTAGES:

Eco-cashmere or recycled cashmere is a yarn produced with a very low environmental impact. It is also made here in Italy by us in partnership with two major companies in the 100% cashmere raw material recycling sector.

It is a yarn that goes through various processes to become a fantastic finished product.

It is made from old used sweaters, industrial leftovers, and scraps — all materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.

This offers many advantages:

The quality is the same as yarns made from virgin cashmere, with the same softness and all thermic characteristics.
The raw material cost of the yarn is significantly reduced while maintaining all qualities, lowering production costs since the material already exists, does not require dyeing, and avoids stress or mistreatment of animals.
It prevents landfills from being overloaded, protecting the environment.

Any disadvantages?

Unlike virgin fiber, recycled cashmere, while maintaining all the above qualities, has less bright colors. This is because WE do not use dyes, but sort the recycled raw material by its existing color, without using any coloring agents.

It is true that the fiber is more fragile, losing its original length, which can limit some processes. We have chosen not to add anything to the fiber and to keep the processes simple, so we can continue our path in maximum sustainability.
