storia del nostro cashmere riciclato e rigenerato

Cashmere (English name) or cashmere (French name), is a precious textile fiber formed with the hair of Capra hircus. We could give infinite examples of the wording of the word itself, but the place that gives birth to the word is Kashmir, a historical region currently divided between India, Pakistan and China, from where exports to Europe began since the beginning of Nineteenth century.

The origins of a fantastic product, a unique and precious fiber, pure cashmere, also known as golden fleece and fiber of the Kings.

The precious cashmere fiber obtained from the mantle of a rare animal, as previously mentioned a particular species of goat the “Hircus”, which lives on the inaccessible and solitary highlands.

The particular climatic conditions, the strong changes in temperature between day and night in these areas, favor the development of the down called duvet. This hair (like all animal fibers) has the purpose of thermo-regulating the animal's body with respect to the external environment, protecting it from both low and high temperatures.

To the touch, cashmere is soft, silky, velvety at the same time, giving a warm and soft sensation. It does not create discomfort or allergies to the skin.

The thinnest and finest part is the down of the under coat and is called duvet, that is the soft and woolly lower layer; the thickest part with stiff and coarse hair comes from the outer coat and is called giarre.

To collect it, a manual combing of the coat is performed during the moulting season, which takes place in spring. Production averages between 100 and 200 grams of fine hair per adult animal.

By choice we have decided not to stress this animal anymore, so much so that our products are now all regenerated and recycled.

This means a lot, for non-professionals, it means that we recover all the material already existing on the market and transform it into a resource. Material that otherwise would have become just waste with the consequent problem of disposal and with a heavy impact on the environment.

We have been present in the fashion business since 1998, slowly we have transformed our targeted purchases to this type of product, which in addition to doing business for us, strongly helps the environment with an excellent combination.

With satisfactory results from all points of view;

We can make new products
(From waste that would only have been a problem for the environment)

It conserves the environment and reduces the amount of waste
(Not polluting with toxic, chemical products.)

Keep limited resources
(No longer stressing animals with intensive farming)

It reduces production costs and the use of raw materials
(Slightly cuts costs by skipping some steps in the industry)

Prolongs the life of materials
(The product can be recycled several times)

It encourages the use of the circular economy
(If each of us started thinking of being able to recycle various materials, it would drastically reduce the pollution of our environment for generations to come)

Guarantees energy savings
(By skipping some processes, excellent energy savings are achieved)
